A. Yes, free consultations and in-home sample selections are a standard practice throughout our entire service area
Q. Do you have a show room?
A. YES...the showroom is open by appointment only but we have wall displays and then an actual smart home with shades integrated in with a home automation system
Q. What is the turnaround time on retrofitting my window treatments?
A. It usually takes approximately 2-3 weeks to receive all parts needed for the retrofit and then we schedule to re-install your window treatments on week 4.
(During the 3-4 weeks we have your shades for retrofit we put temporary shades up in your window for privacy if requested.)
Q. I am a drapery workroom and I am making the drapery treatment and/or roman shade myself, what is the turnaround time for you to make the drapery track or motorize the roman shades I’m making for my customer?
A. Given your specifications, generally we can have your drapery track fabricated or roman shades retrofitted within 3 weeks of placing the order
Q. If I need a rush on my retrofit or Hunter Douglas amd/or Graber order is that possible?
A. Rushes are always possible for all services within our control

Q. Can I change or cancel my order?
A. You have up to 24 hours after the order is placed to make any changes. After that period cancelation charges may apply
Q. Will I be charged sales tax?
A. Motorized Window Treatments is an Illinois based (Cook County) company and required to collect sales tax on all orders shipped/provided within Illinois.
Q. Do you have representatives for measuring and installation?
A1. If you live in or around the Chicagoland area we have in-house service technicians to help with the measure, removal and/or installation of your window treatments.
Q. When you retrofit a blind or shade with motorization does it change the appearance of my blind?
A. 98% of the time you never see the motor and your treatments look does not change
Q. Is it possible to motorize both drapery treatments and hard treatments (roller shades/roman shades) and then have them work on the same remote control or wall switch?
A. Yes!!! With the technology Motorized Window Treatments works with, we can integrate a variety of different motors together to provide the exact operation and control you desire..
